Its capital, Shimla, which was the summer capital of British India is situated in the foothills of Himalayan ranges it. The hub of tourism in india , shimla has easy accessibility and wide range of leisure activities available for tourists. Must visit places in Shimla are : The ridge which is an excellent  sight for viewing the majestic snow covered mountain peaks, just adjacent to the ridge is the Lakkar Bazaar which has splendid wood crafts item , Lord Hanuman’s Sankat Mochan temple and St. Michaels Cathedral which has the blood stains of Jesus from the crucifixion .
